of the victim. the 16-year-old was found shot to death sunday night. investigators say she had been reported missing back in march. police are still searching for her killer. baltimore county police say there is no excuse for gun owners to leave their weapons un-secured. that is why the police chief is giving away free gun locks in reaction to three school shootings involving baltimore students. >> at a press conference to announce the free gun lock program, the county executive said a strong message to gun owners. >> owners being careless, they were called by owners who were being idiotic. >> on thursday, more trouble. this time at a magnet school where police arrested and charged two 12-year old one of them showed up with ammunition for a 380 caliber handgun.

year-old colorado girl is over. the dismembered remains they found on wednesday it are those of jessica ridgeway. there is a predator in -- on the loose in their community. she disappeared while walking home from her elementary school. a spokesperson believes someone in the community knows the person responsible for the crime and is asking people to be on the lookout for anything suspicious, in the odd behavior, and to call in in the tips they might have. >> i want the community to know that we are doing everything within our power to apprehend that individual and we are committed to doing everything within our power to keep our community and our children safe. >> two days after she disappeared, jessica's backpack was found in a neighborhood about 6 miles north of our home.
